The character of Sherlock Holmes was created by Scottish writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, he featured in four novels and more than 50 news. After his death, his are that adrian has written several stories featuring famous Victorian detective, but critics say he was never that popular.
But this is the first time that Arthur Conan Doyle estate formally requested an author to write a new novel. I was appointed as Anthony Horowitz and is known for its Alex Rider series. Therefore I was impressed by the challenge?
Anthony Horowitz:
"Of course, it is disconcerting to some extent and you're dealing with probably the most iconic detective in the entire history of literature." And the only thing I didn't do was to disappoint these really ardent fans, the kind of Sherlock Holmes society and people who love these books.
"But to be honest with you, I actually did find it fairly easy to write because I liked the books since the age of 16, I read two or three times in my life - in fact, my life as a writer of novels myself me, to some extent inspired by Doyle and I find the book not so scared that I thought it would be."
Anthony Horowitz, said the I devoted fan to and aims to produce first rate of mystery for a modern audience.
